Review Highlights

The Third Act

"Astutely observed…"

Newcastle Herald 2018

"Wood’s admirable intention of writing complex women for stage is fully realised in The Third Act. With a refreshing focus on organic interactions between fleshed-out female characters of all ages, rather than placing a typical bias on men or younger women, it is commendable in its effortless integration.

…well-structured, with the pace being an undoubtedly great match for building interaction and depth in character. Each scene reaches a dramatic peak, and then ends on an addictive note, which is an achievement in slower paced realism.

...a holistic, emotional experience that remains fresh in the mind, and in the heart."

‘Excellent play – one of the best we have seen.’

'The playwright was outstanding. The characters became real as they struggled. We had a very good laugh and a good cry.'
